energy solutions should serve people first

focused on quality.
fueling our mission.

Obodo was founded on a simple belief: energy solutions should serve people first.

Our founder spent years at a large corporation that prioritized profits over people, often overselling the financial benefits of their solutions. That experience led to a clear decision: create a company where people who genuinely care about their customers and communities can do their best work, providing the most value for the highest-quality solution possible.

This combination of characteristics allows him to provide value across a wide range of circumstances for Obodo’s partners.

Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with his family and giving back to the community through his involvement with Best Buddies and the Arizona Solar Energy Industries Association (AriSEIA). John is also an avid golfer and traveler; you may find him enjoying the challenges presented by his favorite links-style golf courses many miles from his home in Arizona.

Chris leads business development at Obodo. He builds client relationships and helps organizations navigate complex energy challenges. Chris brings 15+ years of solar development experience across the East Coast and Arizona. Daniel leads commercial preconstruction and engineering at Obodo. He started his career as a tree and shrub specialist in the Northeast, then spent six years in solar. In that field, he rose from residential designer to senior design engineer at a major national firm before joining Obodo. He brings an easygoing, positive attitude to the challenges of preconstruction, turning complex technical challenges into successful solutions.

Outside of work, Daniel’s world revolves around his family. He also enjoys being a hobby aquarist, playing strategy games, and has lived a plant-based lifestyle for 23 years.

Nathan manages service and projects at Obodo, bringing eight years in solar across nearly every role in the field, including installer, crew lead, service technician, service lead, service manager, and now project manager. That ground-up experience gives him a well-rounded understanding of what it takes to deliver and maintain solar systems successfully. He thrives on solving complex technical challenges to keep projects running smoothly from start to finish. He believes hard work, curiosity, and attention to detail are the keys to doing the job right.

Outside of work, Nathan enjoys spending time outdoors, camping, kayaking, snowboarding, and rock hounding, along with restoring old machinery and pursuing his passion for geology.

Steve leads commercial solar projects at Obodo from development through completion. Before solar, he spent 18 years in professional sports, managing key client relationships and complex initiatives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. That experience has translated directly into how he runs projects today.

Outside of work, Steve spends his free moments volunteering with Best Buddies Arizona and serves on its Advisory Board, reflecting the commitment Steve has to his relationships and community.

CJ brings more than a decade of hands-on experience in commercial solar and electrical construction to his role at Obodo. He’s led large-scale, megawatt-level installations and managed multi-million-dollar projects, including one of Arizona’s largest custom rooftop solar arrays. This field experience helps directly shape CJ’s practical, safety-first approach to project management.

Outside of work, CJ loves to spend time outside. From fishing to camping and off-roading, he enjoys anything that involves spending time outdoors with his wife.

Karen supports Obodo’s marketing and communication efforts. From strategic content to PR and brand development, Karen has a sharp eye for creativity, consistency, and the details that make Obodo’s work stand out.

Outside of work, Karen loves to travel, listen to live music, and is always looking for that next good binge-watchable series. She also enjoys spending time with her loved ones and finds that cleaning and organizing is her favorite form of therapy.
